Mobility Principles

Mobility is usable range plus control. Gentle motion, symmetry, warm-up, and pain awareness matter more than forcing a stretch.

Move into range slowly and breathe normally. You should feel manageable tension, not sharp pain, numbness, tingling, or joint catching.

Use mobility before work blocks, after long sitting, or before training. Keep both sides honest and notice asymmetry without turning it into panic.

For injuries, persistent pain, new weakness, swelling, or symptoms that worry you, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

OG title: Mobility Engine - Range, Joints & Daily Movement

OG description: Practical mobility protocols for desk resets, lower-body range, upper-body control, and stiffness management.

Promotional snippet: Move smoothly; do not force range.

Mobility Protocols

Each protocol can run as a short standalone block or as part of a warm-up.

Desk Reset

  • Neck: slow turns, 3 each side.
  • Shoulders: circles and wall slides, 6 reps.
  • Hips: standing hip circles, 5 each way.
  • Breathing: one slow minute before returning to work.

Stay gentle. Stop for sharp pain, dizziness, numbness, or unusual symptoms.

Lower-Body Engine

  • Ankles: knee-to-wall rocks, 8 each side.
  • Hamstrings: hinge with soft knees, 6 slow reps.
  • Hips: 90/90 switches or seated figure-four, 5 each.
  • Finish with an easy walk.

Modify by holding a chair or reducing range.

Upper-Body Engine

  • Thoracic spine: open books, 5 each side.
  • Shoulders: wall slides or band pull-aparts, 8 reps.
  • Wrists: gentle circles and palm rocks, 20 seconds.
  • Finish with posture reset.

Avoid forced end ranges, especially after injury.
